Antwand Pearman was born on July 7th, 1983, in Miami, Florida, and grew up in Harlem, New York. Antwand Pearman is a Multi Award-Winning Filmmaker, Screenwriter, Celebrity Interviewer, and Producer. Happy Mercs Productions LLC Co-Founder. He is currently developing and pitching an animated hip-hop musical and sitcom.
Tell us about your experience at the Hip Hop Film Festival? I really enjoyed our screening and cast Q & A.
Why are stories from the culture important? It's a great opportunity to showcase our history and the things that make us amazing.
What projects are you working on now? My film, Selfie #voodochallenge is currently in several film festivals. I'm currently in a shopping agreement with BET for an animated series. I'm also directing a web series and filming a new short film in October.
Why do you think the Harlem Film House and Hip Hop Film Festival are important? It could help bring the amazing arts and culture to the mainstream.
