Tell us about your experience at the Hip Hop Film Festival Kenya?

It's been a good experience. We are grateful for the selection of our animated film Tishala.

Why are stories from the culture important?

These stories are very important. We get to talk about the different aspects of our cultures and how they affect us. The ones we should stop and ones we can uphold.

What projects are you working on now?

I have just completed a documentary on FGM from one of the practicing communities in the country. As a team, we are also working on other pieces on FGM and other themes such as mental health.

Why do you think the Harlem Film House and Hip Hop Film Festival Europe is important?

It helps as it provides an opportunity for creatives to showcase their work and share them across the globe.
