He is also the writer and showrunner for The AMAZON PRIME TV show "CHASE STREET" starring Clifton Pow-

ell (Norbit, Ray), Vincent Pastore (Big Pussy on HBO"s The Soprano's), and Taral Hicks

Tell us about your experience at the Hip Hop Film Festival. This is my third time attending the Hip Hop Festival, and it gets better every year. This year, the festival moved from an already upscale location to the World-Famous Apollo Theater. The staff put together a great mix of screenings, master classes, and networking events. I would highly recommend it, and I will definitely be back again next year!

Why are “stories from the culture” worthy of a platform? Stories from our culture are important because there have always been stories about our culture that weren't always accurate. It's important to not only create our own content but also have a space to showcase it and a place to receive information on how to monetize it.

Why do you think the Harlem Film House and Hip Hop Film Festival are important? The Harlem Film House and Hip Hop Film Festival are important because they provide real opportunities to creators. Many film festivals allow you to screen films without real information or guidance. Others don't offer platforms for Black and Brown Creators. The Harlem Film House and Hip Hop Film Festival provide these opportunities, which makes the festival very important to the creators from the culture.

What projects are you working on now? Right now, I have several projects in development. I am in pre-production on Sons of Sin 2 and post-production on a spin-off from the Chase Street series called Grimes. We're ready to release four projects on Tubi this month (Dream's Reality, Deadly Counsel, 848; The Criminalization of America, Sons of Sin). We have several documentaries in post-production. I'm writing a second (Untitled) Chase Street Spin-off and a movie called The Cure.
